Fed up with being asked to use unsustainable and often throw away materials for short term art projects, we decided to create a new range of workshops & projects through Planet Art .
Planet has worked with a wide range of interesting groups such as:
The Princes Trust, The Forestry Commission, Community Police, Schools, Youth Groups, Many Local Councils, Age Concern, Young Parents groups and many more.
We are supported by a number of generous companies such as Farrow &Ball,The Worcester Resource Exchange and most recently Brintons Carpets.
Projects come in all shapes and sizes, from paradise prams where young parents decorated their pushchairs as beautiful bird for their local parade,to large paper lanterns and sculptures used to light up a local park ,and recycled plastic wind sock fish made by school children to display at local events.
Projects can often be made to fit a specific remit or objective ,and can be used to enhance the school curriculum .
We believe in team teaching, as this insures a strong element of one to one support.
We believe in helping our environment, so we do our best to use re-cycled, environmental and sustainable materials, just because its re-cycled doesn’t mean its rubbish.
We believe in working in a relaxed environment where cups of tea and biscuits play a crucial role, this encourages even the shyest to feel they can get involved.
We believe in promoting tolerance and understanding, the importance of the individual and what they can offer, but also the strength found in team work.
Please feel free to look through the workshop pages and contact us if anything takes your interest.
