Wall Mural At Droitwhich Lido and Park

art in the park ,art in schools

art in the park .art project ,art in schoolsThe aim of this art project was to cover the existing 75 foot long, heavily graffiti-ed concrete wall, with an appropriate image suitable for young children. Planet worked with a wide range of groups including,      The Princes Trust, The Local High School Inclusion Group, Police Liaison Officer and nearby Primary school. All the groups were heavily involved with the design and painting of the wall and the final painting has had a huge and positive impact on the park and its users and the graffiti has all but ceased.

“A delightful breath of colour, creativity, fresh air, optimism and faith in the young. It warms my heart each time I pass this mural”. J Dollman local resident.

The grotto was visited by over 400 people and on dismantling, for the first time ever all materials used in the project were recycled and reused. We worked with 100’s of children to build this beautiful environment as well as the Malvern Hills District Council, Malvern Youth Services (out reach programme ) and The Borrowers Toy Library.
